The 2 guys turned up on time and immediately set to work loading the van. When they got to the new property there were access issues which meant they had to walk around the building which took longer and was harder. They didn’t moan once about it. I would definitely use Halifax Removals again.

Team of three arrived on time and moved us to our new home. A lot of time take to load the van well maximising space to get everything in one trip. Unloading was much faster with furniture and boxes taken to the rooms we required. Great service. Reasonable price.

In overall an okay service but was very unhappy about being constantly hassled by the movers DURING the move if I paid the outstanding balance. To start with they seemed great, were flexible when I had to move dates. Paid my deposit then and offered to pay the full estimated charge in advance but they said no, just pay on the day. To add, I am middle aged single female with back problems moving by myself. When they arrived they were lovely and started filling the van but an hour or so in the main guy asked, did you pay? He added that they sent an email in the morning. I was not checking my phone as I was mega busy shifting things - who does in the middle of the move??? He insisted I do so at least I sat down for a minute, got it done, great. BUT... the move took a wee bit longer than they originally estimated (estimate was 3 hours and at that point they were still unloading).I told them I need to nip out to pick up my dogs as my sitter needed to go out and it's only 10 minutes away so they can just carry on - this guy asked, did you pay the extra? I told him I paid earlier but he says there is more to pay because it took longer. At this point I got so angry because they haven't even finished, why don't they just do the job and maybe finish faster? Instead they hassle you during the move. I know asking for payment wasn't the actual movers idea but their bosses, as I saw this man on his phone a lot getting and responding to messages. I still gave them their tips but would never ever consider using this company. Clearly they have no empathy or an idea of how stressful moving is especially if you do it by yourself. Maybe allow people to pre-pay and if extra charges occur send the invoice and let that be paid within 7 days? Just an idea ? If you want decent customer service AVOID this company as all they care about is money, money, money. What a shame.

Top service from Halifax Removals. They picked up my things in London and took them all the way to Halifax and put them in storage for me. Communication was great. They were on time and reliable (I was worried about this part but I didn’t need to be!). The price was excellent and the guys were lovely and great at their job. I will use them again and can’t recommend them enough.

I was really impressed by the service I received from Halifax Removals. The two guys that moved us were really friendly, worked exceptionally hard and incredibly quickly. I was moving from a first floor flat to another first floor flat so they really hard some graft to do and just got on with it. The removals men could not have been nicer or more accommodating and they arrived promptly at my new property, 100 miles away from Halifax. I have used other removal firms in the past that did not give a tenth of the service I received from Halifax Removals, could not recommend them more highly. The price they charged was really good for the level of service they provided and they took a lot of stress out of moving house.
