These guys are absolutely fantastic! What would have usually been a long and stressful day, was just long. Ben, Lewis and Mackenzie took care of everything, leaving me to be able to tend to my disabled child. They smiled and laughed the whole day. Everything was moved with care and speed. The best removal guys! Tony and Dean helped us, they are superb. Nothing was too much for them and they had a really upbeat and positive attitude. We contacted numerous removal companies prior to our recent move from North Devon to Sheffield. We chose Henry Speight as we felt they were could handle the move and do it with the minimum of fuss. Very pleased with the service we received from Henry Speight Removals. We had the full packing service and they moved us over 2 days. The whole team were friendly and considerate. I was particularly pleased that they moved our piano with great care! They were also very flexible around dates.

We had a packing service and removal service from Retford to Sheffield. From the moment we spoke to Speights we was instantly at ease. Nothing was too much trouble. Packing was done quickly by Jordan with help from Tony & Lewis the following day, who worked so hard in the heat removing all our stuff!! Again nothing was to much trouble and they went the extra mile to make sure everything was sorted to a high standard. Following day we had Lewis, Ben & Anton who all worked tirelessly and once again, nothing was to much trouble. Even removed some unwanted furniture left in our new property for us. I had to move with relatively short notice and it wasn't an easy move with work being done on the property I was moving to. I personally couldn't speak higher of the service I received and the safe and professional manner my items were taken toy new property. I would be more happy to use their services again and recommend them to anyone else for that matter. This is the first time I used a moving company so I did some research, got a few quotes and ended up choosing Henry Speight because of how confident I felt after the initial video survey/walk through. I also ended up having to take up the storage element of their service as the house we were moving in to wasn’t quite ready. For context, the dismantling/removal part of the move took place 21st Oct 2023. The guys carrying out the move were extremely friendly and dismantled all of the furniture, loaded it up and respected the property. At the time, there were a couple of bumps as you’d expect and also a small accident with a drawer that had costume jewellery in it, falling out of a desk and onto my drive. When I asked what had happened, they were apologetic and assured me no damage had been done to the actual desk and that they had picked up all of the jewellery. After we’d finished up in the house, we went outside to find a few pieces of my jewellery still on the drive and some missing stones which again, wasn’t the end of the world. The unload/reassembly work was supposed to take place on the 30th and some of it did, however there was an issue and they had to unload my things into smaller lorries with a 2 man crew (for the contents of a 4 bed house with a garage)….needless to say, it didn’t all get unloaded and they needed to return the next day. I wasn’t upset with the logistics and we were very lucky we had somewhere else to stay for a few nights. What I was upset with was the damage to some of my items…the fact that they were super dirty just added salt to an open wound! The damage to the items (excluding the walls) included: •Fridge/Freezer - damaged drawers and external deep scratches •Wooden drawer unit - chipped on the front lip •Vanity desk - (the one that had been dropped) damage to a couple of drawers and the top corner of the desk • TV Bed - damage to the upholstery •Ornate large mirror - chip to the frame •Storage unit - cracked mirror •La-Z-Boy leather sofa - damage to one of the back cushion units I asked Henry Speight to resolve the issues with the fridge/freezer, vanity desk, storage unit and the La-Z-Boy sofa - they have addressed the issues with the storage unit and the sofa but the other issues are outstanding. I’ve been fair with my expectations and also what I have asked to be addressed. It has almost been 3 months now! The last couple of messages weren’t even acknowledged. I’m really disappointed with the lack of response especially when they were so responsive before getting my business. There's no way to reply to Adrian's comment but I haven't been contacted since his reply 4 weeks ago...

From start to finish my experience with Speights was exceptional. I was moving under quite stressful circumstances and the care and consideration i received from Aidie and Rob was brilliant… and they were quick to accommodate my shifting situation. And at the front line both for a removal and a later storage & delivery service was efficient and courteous. My thanks to Trigger, Dave , Jordan & Rick(?)…. great bunch of hard workers! ?

Henry Speight Ltd took the stress out of our move from Barnsley to Seaham in Co Durham. They were really patient with the many cancelled move dates our solicitors heaped on us. Their moving staff were excellent. Very friendly and approachable, nothing was too much trouble even though it rained all day they never stopped. The company and personnel get my highest recommendation, if I had 10 stars they would get all of them. If you want an efficient, friendly stress free move then please give them a ring, you wont regret it. PS the fuel for the movers is biscuits and toast LOL. Ken and Janet

Were extremely impressed with the whole team at Henry Speight from start to finish. They were helpful, informative and not pushy at all in the run up to the move and very flexible when our move date kept changing. Over the three day move, ALL of the guys that took part in our move were brilliant but a special shout-out to Lewis, Rob & Mick. The weather was rubbish and the road outside was wet and muddy but they took extra effort to keep everything as clean as they could in the circumstances. All the guys were super helpful - even when we decided that a couple of heavy items that we initially thought should be on the ground floor actually needed to be two stories higher and around a couple of tight corners. All in all - couldn't have wished for a better team to help with the move! Thoroughly recommended!

We were both relocating and downsizing, and were very pleased with the service provided by Henry Speight. They packed and unpacked for us, and we were able to keep things that we weren't sure would fit in on the basis that they would take them away for charity if they didn't. The team they sent were friendly and helpful, and the driver was a star. They even included a free cancellation in the quote which we used when our move got delayed late on. Excellent service all round - highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic. From the moment Dave came out to give me a quote, to the actual moving day, everything was amazing and I am very glad I chose Henry Speights. Dave was lovely and very informative and helpful. Trigger, Ben and Tom on moving day were absolutely brilliant and nothing was any trouble for them. Even our massive french armoires and getting a big sofa bed into a bedroom upstairs. They just took the door off and squeezed it in no bother. We were done at our old house in 3 hours, and everything in our new house in 3 hours and they even put our french beds together, fixed the doors etc on the armoires and put our dining table back together in no time at all. You could tell they enjoyed their jobs and they made our moving day enjoyable as we had a laugh with them all day, they were fun guys to spend the day with! 10/10 absolutely brilliant. I don't plan on moving anywhere for a long time now but I would definitely use them again if I did. And I will be recommending them to anyone I know who is looking for a removal company. I chose Henry Speights to help us downsize and move my Mother into sheltered accommodation, which has been a sensitive and difficult process. The chaps were friendly and took great care of everything, and were happy to put everything exactly where I wanted it. Couldnt recommend these guys more!! I found Henry Speight after researching removal companies on a community Facebook group and saw lots of people had good experiences with them. Us now included. We had a big national house move to sort, a 3 bed semi with a full loft and garden. From the get go they were responsive with communications, really easy and friendly to deal with, quoted us lower than a big national chain but the package was better. On the day of the move they turned up down south, earlier than we expected, friendly and helpful and got straight to work. They were quick, careful, and professional. Our belongings stayed on the truck at their depot overnight and the next day they moved us in, again, quick, professional, helpful, even returning soon after the move to collect our boxes.
