I assisted the team to load the van as I only booked for the large furniture items and 2men. Once loaded, They departed providing me with an ETA the other end. Received a call later in the day with confirmed arrival time. On arrival at destination, assisted driver to unload items. I noted some minor damage to items of my furniture after they departed, I didnt opt for the wrapping service however, amybe my mistake. My furniture was not of any real expense but was a little irritated at the damage caused. None of the damage is visible from the front but could have been a greater issue were this not the case or the furniture was of any great value. All in all, I would use these guys again and would recommend them but I would take more care in protecting my furniture once it was on board. For the money, it was good value and far better than any other removal company out there. I really should of opted-it for the packing service

On time, took good care of packing our furniture into the van, very polite staff, Couldn't have been more keen to help carry our things off at the other end even though it was 6pm and he had another 150 miles to go to get home. Having already paid them £1100, half-way through the move they emailed me to say we had to pay £1100 more, and refused to unload my stuff until I paid the extra. Four big men threatening to take all my wife's and my possessions if we didn't pay, and I had no choice.
The extra was £500 for packaging (a bunch of cardboard boxes and some bubble wrap that could be bought on Amazon for less than £100), and a three hour 'delay' which was in fact caused by them not recording the fact that I'd told them that we would not be getting the keys to our new home until later that day, so they showed up 3 hours early.
On top of that, during the move they caused over £2000 damage to my furniture, including:
Breaking a clock
Tearing the material of a sofa
Staining an armchair by leaving it outside uncovered under a dripping pipe
Ruining a dresser with scratches because it wasn't packed properly
Breaking a coffee table by dropping it on the concrete
Other examples of their lack of skill and care:
They packed a kettle full of water!
When they arrived I showed them a box that must not be packed, that had the keys for the new owner - yep, they packed it, causing us massive inconvenience.
They knocked over a wooden speaker on the concrete, and luckily it wasn't damaged.
I raised a complaint over a month ago, and haven't had any meaningful response yet. I'll amend this review if/when I get a reply.

[review_content] => We were extorted by this company. They refused to offload our belongings on the day of our move despite completing before 4pm. They took all of our belongings to a secure lock up and failed to give us any information as to why until 19:30. They said it was too wet and access was too tight. The vans very easily fit into our new drive suitable for 5/6 cars comfortably. It was a measly excuse to get away early on a Friday and seek further payment. We completed on Friday and they said they might get back to us late on Sunday or Monday. We have a three year old and an 11 month old baby. When we told them this wasn’t good enough they charged us £1,700 to deliver our belongings on Saturday. Despite this they didn’t offer the full service we had paid for. In total we paid close to £6,000 for a very local straightforward move. This company are a disgrace. DO NOT USE.

[review_content] => My experience with National Moves was almost abusive. The movers treated my things as if they were rubbish to be thrown out. In fact, they ran out of boxes, and proceeded to place my things in rubbish bin liners, including my Sonos, Apple TV, and the glass jars and eggs from my fridge. Needless to say, the eggs and glass in the bin liners did not fair well. They all shattered and made a mess. When they did use boxes, they threw my items in the box without care. They didn't wrap glassware before packing it. They stacked my unwrapped glasses and squeezed them in the boxes. When I asked about my glasses or why they were throwing my neatly folded clothing in boxes, they said, "don't worry it'll be fine." They also took almost ten hours to pack a one bedroom flat with very few things. I moved those same things a year ago and it took the moving company two hours to neatly wrap (with care) and pack everything, and load them all on a truck. I've been trying to discuss my experience with someone at National Moves for the last few days, but have heard back (despite my many calls). If you value your things, DO NOT USE NATIONAL MOVES.

[review_content] => I wish I could give zero stars. To start with, booking this removal company was easy and they came out quick to quote. They gave me a great quote for the house move. But it wasn’t until the day of the move that all the problems started. Instead of a regular removal lorry you would expect, we had a small ford transit van turn up. We had a 2 bed house and loads of garden stuff to be moved. This was all meant to be out of the house by midday. But they had to do multiple trips and we also had to hire a van ourselves and do multiple trips in the cars too. I don’t understand how they expected to fit that all in one regular van and out by midday. Then after the nightmare of a day. We didn’t leave the house till almost 5pm! The office starts calling me demanding payment with added costs. The removal team they used were not professional at all, they were rude and they had only been doing this job for a few months. I know this because they told me. On the website it says “years of experience” but this was not true! Me and my family felt so betrayed. The company hadn’t even provided wardrobe boxes as was promised. Instead our clothes were thrown into bin bags. And none of the boxes had been labelled. So we don’t know where anything belongs. Very unprofessional. Don’t use this company. They may quote a small price but they don’t know what they’re doing.

[review_content] => The removal team were excellent. Very very hard working and pleasant and did an excellent delivery and packing at the storage. I can not say the same of the office staff called Steve who was rude and a bully. Any request I made to him had a negative response. I had booked the move for 14th August that was my completion day. He forced me to have the move done in 2 days. One a week before the 14th August. So I incurred £160 extra storage cost for the extra week because of that sudden change of their plans. When I asked him for a day rather than the 8 August as I was not ready yet he threatened to cancel the booking. When it was too late to book with another company. He never asked me to pay deposit during a one month that I was talking to them and a week before the 14th he said that he would cancel my booking if I didn’t agree to the 8th August removal.
I was originally asked to pay £500 deposit of the £2000 total cost. But on the day of payment he insisted that I had to pay £1000. Which at that time I had to transfer money from a different account. He spoke to his boss and came back in a while that I could pay the £500 as the deposit. On the whole I had a very bad experience with Steve but had an excellent removal team. Despite problems with a van parked in our "reserved" parking area throughout loading, meaning they had to park a little further from the house, they still got on with the job without complaining. An incredibly personable team, happy to help with whatever they could. Whilst we packed ourselves, our larger items (furniture, pictures and mirrors) were packed by the team incredibly securely ensuring no breakages. We would recommend them without any hesitation.

[review_content] => We used this company to move my 2 bed flat to a house about 6 weeks ago.
The initial process was quite thorough, Steve dealt with my inventory, we went through each room over the phone describing the items to be moved.
I received a quote promptly and Steve recommended 2 movers and a van for a day. He was able to suggest how many boxes/bags we’d have based on his experience which was helpful. The cost was on the higher end of the quotes I received but I went with London Removals due to their fab reviews and the process so far.
On moving day the team arrived bang on time and were keen to get started. They advised they had to take photos and send them to the office.
About 30 mins later I got a call from a man at the office demanding I pay more money in order to complete the job which would take longer than expected; apparently there were “a lot more items than I had stated during the inventory”. He started making claims that were either incorrect or that I had stated in my original inventory, eg: I had 20 frames (this wasn’t true) and an extra wardrobe (which I’d stated during the inventory process). He was being really forceful, saying I needed to pay £60-£80 more, bearing in mind I’d already paid £680 I refused and asked to speak to Steve. At this point he started back tracking and said I didn’t need to pay and couldn’t speak to Steve. It made an already very stressful day even worse, and seemed reminiscent of a scam.
The movers themselves were super professional, they worked really hard, they were quick but also very careful. They finished the job by 2pm, so despite there being “loads of extra items!” we didn’t need the full day that I’d paid for.
I’d recommend the company, but definitely suggest you email a copy of your inventory to ensure you don’t get the same shake down for additional money on moving day that we experienced.

This time, it was for my 78yr old mum, who we were relocating after 43yrs in her home, to live with me. There was months of stress and pressure with selling the family home, finding a suitable place to relocate to. One thing that was a breath of fresh air was the professionalism of London Removals. From the original enquiry, to regular catch up emails to see if their services would be needed, an extremely detailed video chat survey with Oleg, and then a price that wiped the floor with the other company who had quoted.
On the day, the team were incredibly professional - the whole house was sheeted to protect the carpets, everything was carefully packed - clearly obvious as you heard members of the team advising one of the newer lads on how to correctly wrap and package items, to the unload at the end.

It was the best decision as they were not only responsive and helped with every request, they also communicated if they felt the information was useful. No matter how many times I called, Peter was polite and patient and answered all my questions. We were informed of the whole procedure and everything happened as it was confirmed from the packing to the move. After a few calls I felt really relaxed as I knew even if the move itself can be stressful I trusted my manager's house move was in safe hands. They were also professional with the billing and payment, everything was officially sent and documented. [review_content] => Atrocious company. Arrived several hours later than scheduled to remove goods from a 1 bed flat, store a few days and deliver a few miles away. All packing done for them, excepting a few big ticket antique furniture items in impeccable condition. No attention given to protecting common halls and carpets although this was specifically requested and the day of delivery poured with rain. Before the delivery was complete the manager was on the phone demanding more money, several hundred pounds beyond the quote, and wouldn't go away although I explained several times that WE had not finished. Goods were subsequently found to be damaged and some things missing. Beware of their tricks with charging against time, I ended up paying well beyond the quote. A pack of thugs who took no care and managed by predatory and corrupt boss. DO NOT USE THEM.

[review_content] => The movers arrived 20 minutes late with no communication prior to their arrival. They had breaks in between and were pretty slow at completing the work, which resulted in a lot of hours spent moving. Two of my new sofas were damaged in the process. On informing the movers on the day, I was told this had been the case prior to the work being carried out, with the movers speaking in a foreign language between themselves and the office (on the phone). I am a foreigner too, but I would never speak in my native language in such situations.
I called the office, but I did not get an appropriate response, concentrating mainly on the finishing time rather than my damaged property. I tried to obtain the gentleman’s name (on the phone), but I was told "that doesn't matter."
The only compensation I received for my 2-month-old leather electric recliner sofas was £40, as I "failed to provide the total value of the items being moved."
Although they were the cheapest of all, I am not satisfied with their service as it was not done professionally, as advertised. Both the movers and the call handler did not manage this in an appropriate manner.
I would never recommend this company to anyone.

From the quoting process to the on-day removals, we had an excellent experience working with Atanas and the rest of the Best Rate removals team.
We found the quote to be competitive and the additional extras - such as storage - to be priced really well.
On the day a large team showed up and made short work of all the furniture and boxes. The guys were efficient, contentious and very friendly. I was genuinely very impressed by the on-the-day team. Everything was wrapped and carefully dismantled, it was all logged and I received a detailed itinerary at the end.
Honestly we will definitely be back when we move again.

The experience we had with them was really fantastic from the first minute. They arrived early and were unfailingly polite, happy and personable. I still don't quite know how they managed to fit all our items in, but they did and not one item was damaged. [review_content] => Won’t recommend. Initially their quote will look lesser than others but on the job they charge extras. We ended up paying double than the quote. Staff too slow, they purposely take extra time.
don’t pack with them.they packed each box half empty-very lightly so that more boxes will be used. Charged more than extra hours they spent at property. It took 4.5 hours including half n hr lunch time. but the exec on phone first calculated 5 hours and then cutting lunch time we will have to pay for 4.5 hours as if he was giving us half b hr discount. And he charged including VAR while we had agreed in advance that for cash payments VAT is not included.
For the service of £335/- including the count of boxes they charged us £400/-
Plus the sales person said to me you can use 2nd hand box for £1/- each but will send you the quote with new prices so i overlooked the section. After the job they charged me quote price + vat. Also they said initially you will pay final price without VAT. But deducted VAT from the booking amount paid online after we discussed that wont go towards VAT
Please don’t use their services.

Nearly every single piece of my furniture was scratched, chipped or damaged in different level. I was told by the delivery team of Best Rate Removals that the mattress was basically left exposed and uncovered in the storage the whole time, and it came dirty, stained and frame damaged...I am now trying to get in touch with the company for making claims and guess what, my emails have been completely ignored, when I know for fact that they normally respond very quickly before the completion of the job! From the moment we began discussing the move up to the moment everything had been finished the service was exceptional. They handled everything professionally, jumping to work on arrival, giving me the confidence to be able to leave them to it whilst I travelled up to Birmingham and prepared things there.
