He was on time and also goes the extra mile to make sure what you need is done. I had a very difficult house move from a fourth floor flat without a lift and Marius and his colleagues did a great job even though what I had to move was eventually much more than what we had agreed on. He also helped me with disassembling and assembling my bed which is a difficult job. He helped move up a large wardrobe through a tight staircase, which seemed impossible. Overall definitely recommend his service.

The team arrived punctually and well prepared, they were also very friendly it was a pure pleasure. They have packed all my items with great care and quickly including my numerous plants which I warned them about can cause them a premature death if damaged! I am sorry team but thank you all of my plans are thriving and all survived perfectly. Once we arrived to my new address they have went above and beyond ensuring nothing gets damaged and that everything is placed where I want it. After I have unpacked they have quickly collected the boxes and the protective packing bits. They offer multiple services like furniture or rubbish disposal which is perfect and I am sure to use their service soon. The price was reasonable, especially that I have underestimated the number of boxes I require. Greatly recommended. Thank you team!

[review_content] => Some issues with the final cost left a sour taste, although the service was pretty good.
We received a very competitive quote based on a comprehensive video we had sent of our possessions. It included a fixed cost + £6 per box for a Pack and Move service.
The guys arrived on time and did great work boxing everything up, taking special care with the kitchen. They wrapped furniture and handled everything really well, while also getting about the work pretty quickly. Meanwhile, we packed some clothes and other items from our bedroom and bathroom to save some time during the day.
When we arrived at our new place, we received the quote and demand for immediate payment, which included various unexpected extras as follows:
- £65 for moving a sofa downstairs, as it didn't fit in the lift. This was a difficult task and we thought it was reasonable to charge a supplement, although this seems a bit high. We had flagged in advance.
- £95 for the ~40 boxes and bags we had packed. This was reasonable as packing for ourselves did mean that the team missed out on the £6 per box which is the costing model for their pack and move service. That said, we were just trying to do a favour and keep things moving on a long day's moving.
- £265 for overloading the van. This one was frustrating, as we felt that the removals experts should correctly estimate the size of van required based on the video. They couldn't offer a second van or a second trip, which would have (quite rightly) entailed extra cost, so they loaded the van to capacity. This led to a £265 surcharge. It's hard to see where that figure came from, but - more importantly - they should have sent a van of the appropriate size in the first place. Even if it had cost more in the original quote, it would have felt better than this surprise cost.
The biggest issue was the feeling that our belongings were being held to ransom. We were forced into an unexpectedly high surplus payment while our belongings were still in the van, and it seemed that the team would stop unloading unless and until we paid. I spoke to them at length on the phone and they would not budge.
It's a reasonably good service but I would take extra care to confirm the precise costs at quote stage - including how many bags and boxes of your own are included, any heavy furniture that needs to be carried, and certainly the size of the van being sent.
PS We had a few calls to discuss a possible refund but never managed to speak to the boss, and now too long has passed.

Like other reviews the owner gives very competitive prices initially. When it comes to the day it all changes. They were late with no apology or notice that they would be late from the owner or the staff. Prior to the move date I sent several videos to clarify how much we wanted packed. The owner said it would be 30 boxes. On the day it came up to 70 and he blamed me and said he only expected 20 boxes despite saying 30( that makes complete sense doesn't it?) Very unprofessional and inexperienced. Cowboys really.
He also claimed his guys had to walk 70 metres(as he seems to have said in other reviews. Funny how it is always the same distance). I myself measured the distance and it was 30m. Once again unprofessional and inexperienced.
When it came to delivery the quote almost doubled what was initially agreed due to the 'increased' items they were expecting. My partner was very unwell on the day and I had no choice but to agree and pay as the day was already long from their late arrival and the owners pathetically estimation of the contents despite multiple videos and photos sent.
Honestly do not use these guys. Set up in 2020 so inexperienced. Old van being used. Unprofessional. I wanted to give them a chance despite some of the reviews saying the same thing. Learnt the hard way. Go elsewhere and save yourself the headache.

[review_content] => Total failure. Enquired about a move from 2-bedroom flat and spoke to Paul. He didn’t suggest coming to look at items to be moved, which worried me, but he sounded confident with my description and said he charges an hourly rate. He said he would call me back in 20-30 minutes to confirm a move day.
He didn’t return the call, so after about a day had passed, I called again. He sounded vague, but we agreed a move date and I felt reassured when I was told the booking would be confirmed by email. Paul said he would also send an invoice for one hour’s charge, which would need to be taken as a deposit to confirm the booking.
No email was sent, so after three days I gave up and found a professional company instead. I assumed Paul was not interested or too disorganised to take on the job. I don’t waste time chasing companies to give them my custom if they can’t organise themselves.
Many days pass, then I get an unexpected call from Paul saying he’s outside the property ready to do the move! I just couldn’t believe it. No email/invoice sent, no follow-up from Paul and then he has the cheek to blame me, the customer, for “wasting his time”!
I received no confirmation of the booking as promised, and consequently, paid no deposit. Why would he think the booking still existed if it didn’t even meet his own booking requirements??? What a shame – a lack of basic administration and customer service makes this a company to avoid. He didn’t even apologise for his mistake and letting me down.

[review_content] => We used Paul's Removals in early 2021. We moved from a three-bedroom house in London to a five-bedroom house with three floors outside of London, with approximately two weeks of storage.
All staff were courteous and hard working; it was a pleasure to have them around. We had a lot to move, and there were some items that needed a lot of effort to pack and lift. However, there was never a point when we were made to feel like we were a problem to completing the job on time.
We chose Paul's Removals based on the positive feedback we found online, and I must say that the wonderful reviews were confirmed.

[review_content] => Organising my Grandparents move after 57years of living at their house wasn’t easy. We hadn’t been given a date until exchange which was 1 week before completion. I had contacted various companies and recommendations with no availability or we were wary after speaking to them or having them quote. Then as I panicking we wouldn’t have any removals I discovered Paul’s removals on checkatrade and they had lots of great reviews. I called Paul and he sounded very nice and had availability for our date. I did have to chase a bit for an official quote but that was because we were against the clock and in normal other circumstances it wouldn’t have been an issue but for us every hour counted. The quote was reasonable and by this point was only 3/4 days before we needed to move. I now think it was a complete blessing we hadn’t got anywhere with other companies. I received confirmation and checked in the day before. I received a call in the morning advising they would be a few minutes behind schedule which wasn’t a problem at all.I can’t recommend them enough, the 4 members of staff were absolutely fantastic. They were very careful with everything and brought some much needed humour to what was an emotional move and had been very stressful. They were extremely polite asking questions where necessary and asking where things should go. They unplumbed the dishwasher and washing machine and loaded up a fairly large 3 bed house in approximately 2.5hrs. And it was the hottest day of the year.There was then a few hours gap before we completed on my Grandparents purchase property but they called just as I was about to call them for an update. On our arrival they were ready and waiting and unloaded everything putting it in the correct places, fixing things back together etc. Again bringing some humour with them.1 small plant pot got broken, and there was some tape left on the dishwasher but those were very minor things. A folding chair was also left on the van which we only realised a few days later so I emailed to ask if they had it and within 30mins it had been delivered to the house.I would recommend Paul’s removals to anyone and everyone, and would definitely use them again. My whole family thought they were outstanding.

The 2 guys who carried out her move, SCOTT and DAVID, were very polite and friendly and super efficient ...
She only moved about 5/10 minutes away and the whole move, into the van, out of the van and into her new home, was carried out within a couple of hours without any hassle at all !!

Jay and Dobri both put in a truly meteoric shift throughout, from an early 7am start to a 5.30pm finish. They moved and reassembled large, heavy items into specific rooms across a 3-floor house with no issues. Their attitude and professionalism made the whole experience of moving seamless, straightforward and stress-free, which definitely cannot be taken for granted when moving house. Really nice guys too who made the process as slick as possible when giving instructions of where things should go, etc.
Direct Professional Removals's main office was also incredibly patient and went out of their way to be flexible and accommodate our move, which was regularly pushed back and delayed over several months. They handled a number of requests to extend moving dates without question and with total professionalism, and their response times to emails were always rapid. Customer care and support was clearly their top priority.
10/10 across the board, from a very happy customer!

[review_content] => We couldn't recommend Direct Professional highly enough. Every member of the team is friendly, hardworking, and they delivered exactly what they promised they would. Their quote was extremely reasonable compared to the many other companies we reached out to, and we have absolutely no regrets about choosing them. We did a 5 hour move from London up to the North West. DP arrived the day before to load everything up, including disassembling our furniture where necessary (but they only did what they had to, and most stuff was moved out in one piece, which is really helpful on the other side!). They'd previously arranged to send 2 people but after we sent a video of our flat, they sent a third as well - Jay, Vladimir and Peter were all absolutely great. Where they did disassemble things, they attached all the screws to the item, and made sure they'd be easy to replace, which was particularly important for us as we were moving our things into storage.
Jay and Jordan then drove 5 hours the next day to put everything in storage for us, which they did incredibly efficiently, and were really happy to do anything else we needed, such as giving certain things extra wrapping.
Costas in sales was also brilliant, answering all our questions promptly and in a very friendly manner, which really helped reduce the stress of the move.
All the 5 star reviews they have are completely deserved - they're a fantastic team.

[review_content] => Moving house can be a stressful time, and having a team of unknown people take all of your worldly belongings, pack them up and transport them to your new home forces you to place a lot of trust in them. Anastasia and Petar started us off by being very responsive, informative and flexible when planning the move, earning that trust. The removal teams themselves were fantastic. Really professional, incredible parking skills :-), so positive and energetic even when it got a bit stressful parking in our new place - honestly we couldn't have asked for anything more. [review_content] => The movers were quick and efficient, however it would have been appreciated prior to the move if I was informed that the re-assembly of items would only be done if the removal men were the ones to dismantle the items beforehand. We dissembled items prior to the move to save time as we needed to be at the new property at a particular time. Despite being told that dismantling and reassembly was included in the price, it was frustrating how we were left to reassemble the beds, coffee table and sofas ourselves.
Some items of furniture were also unfortunately chipped and broken.
